Gears game
The Gears Game is a panel equipped with interconnected gears of various sizes. A child can turn a chosen gear and observe how its movement is transmitted to the other gears. In a simple and direct way, they thus learn the principle of how mechanisms work together.
How does the Gears Game support a child's development?
Turning the wheels develops hand dexterity and visual-motor coordination. Observing the direction and pace of movement of individual elements teaches cause-and-effect relationships, stimulates logical thinking and encourages experimentation.
The panel can also be used on inclusive playgrounds – the activity takes place in one spot and does not require running or climbing.
